Vulnerable Services Notifications
CSIRT-IE provides notifications relating to internet-facing systems and services associated with organisations in Ireland that may be vulnerable, exposed, or otherwise present an increased cybersecurity risk.
These notifications are intended to help organisations identify and address potential security issues before they can be exploited.
What do these notifications cover?
Notifications may relate to a wide range of issues affecting internet-facing services, including:
- Known software vulnerabilities.
- Exposed administrative interfaces.
- Outdated or unsupported software.
- Publicly exposed repositories or configuration files.
- Weak or insecure service configurations.
- Products known to be vulnerable to active exploitation.
While many notifications reference CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), not all findings are CVE-related. In some cases, the issue may be an exposed service, insecure configuration, or another condition that increases cybersecurity risk.
What should I do if I receive a notification?
- Identify the affected system using the information provided.
- Confirm whether the service belongs to your organisation.
- Assess the reported issue.
- Apply updates, mitigations, or configuration changes as appropriate.
- Review systems for signs of compromise where necessary.
- Verify that remediation has been successful.

Report Types
The following pages provide additional information about specific vulnerable service notifications distributed by CSIRT-IE.
Technical Background
CSIRT-IE receives information from trusted partners that identify vulnerable or exposed internet-facing systems. These findings are generated using methodologies such as internet-wide scanning, vulnerability intelligence, product-specific detection techniques, and security research.
The presence of a vulnerable service does not necessarily indicate that a system has been compromised. However, it may indicate a security weakness that could be exploited if left unaddressed.
