Overview
The National Cyber Security Centre of Ireland (NCSC) engages in many of cybersecurity functions, with its main focus being on securing Government networks and Critical National Infrastructure.
As well as this important work it is also our role to enhance the cybersecurity awareness of the citiznes Ireland. To do this, we aim to educate everyone of the potential threats online and in cyberspace, as well as what you can do about them.

Below is a set of tools that can be used to boost your Cyber Security awareness as well as check your current accounts to see if your have been compromised already:
Password Managers
If you are struggling to come up with new passwords for all of your different accounts like our advice suggests and you don't want to leave your passwords wrote down anywhere then you need a Password manager. Password managers are great because they store all your passwords, generate strong ones for you, and in general, the only password you have to remember is the one to open your password manager. Password managers aren't just for convenience's sake; think of it as good online hygiene. For a list of available password managers see here.

Reporting
Reporting Phishing, smishing and vishing scams should be reported to An Garda Síochána at your local Garda station. Most well-known e-mail service providers will provide a reporting service for various issues. Make sure to check your e-mail provider to see if they provide a 'report phishing' service. If you believe a crime has been committed you will need to follow the advice issued by An Garda Síochána here.
Reporting an attack on a business
If your company believes that you are experiencing a cyber security incident and wish to notify us directly or request assistance in dealing with the incident you may email us at info@ncsc.gov.ie. If you wish to report a security incident and you are an agent of one of NCSC's constituents (e.g. an official in a government department with the authority to make such a report) please email incident@ncsc.gov.ie. or certreport@ncsc.gov.ie. In case you wish to forward any emails to us, please make sure that all email headers, the body and any attachments are included. NCSC, in accordance with national and EU law, respects the confidentiality of all such reports received. However we will consider responsible disclosure where necessary.
